Thule STIR 35L Women’s Hiking Pack

Backpack perched on a rock

The Thule STIR 35L Women’s Hiking Pack is a very versatile backpack perfect for day hiking, overnight backpacking trips, backcountry ski touring, traveling, and many more adventures. It is very durable, comfortable for a women’s frame, and thoughtfully made with attention to detail. I had never tried a Thule backpack before purchasing this item, yet I must say it is the best backpack I have ever owned and has gotten endless use over the past few years with very little wear. I would highly recommend this item!

The material of this pack is extremely durable and water-resistant, and there is an additional built-in rain cover to guarantee your belongings will not get wet. A zipper at the bottom of the pack holds the rain cover, which easily clips to the top of the pack. I have used this pack through countless torrential downpours and snowstorms and can always guarantee my belongings will stay dry inside, and that the pack material will dry quickly as well.

The back of the pack has an adjustable foam frame, and the hip belt and chest stray make this pack very comfortable for long trips. The cinch straps on the outside of this pack make it so you can carry anything from a light load for a day trip up to a sleeping bag and bear canister for a longer adventure, all while having the pack fit comfortably. The hip belts and shoulder straps also have pockets that are perfect for carrying easily accessible snacks or gear, as well as a small mesh pocket on the inside of the pack perfect for a headlamp and other essential items. The two water bottle sleeves on the sides are deep and fit 1L water bottles nicely, and the outer sleeve of the pack is ideal for keeping an easily accessible map.

The cinch top of the pack is easy to open with mittens as it has a sliding buckle, and makes the pack’s capacity more adjustable with extra fabric instead of a zipper. The pack also has many outside clips that are perfect for attaching trekking or ski poles, as well as a hydration system for holding a hydration bladder inside. Overall with a 35L capacity this pack has it all, and is a great investment for a long-lasting multi-season item that will not disappoint.
