R5 Women GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Tights

The R5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM tights by GORE are extremely durable and high-quality leggings that are perfect for comfortable exercise in adverse weather conditions. These tights are designed primarily for running but are also ideal for windy bike rides, trail runs, and backpacking trips. They are not only breathable for summer activities, but also warm and protective for winter sports like cross country and backcountry skiing. If you are looking for a versatile and long-lasting women’s pant, this is a fantastic choice.

The 3-layer GORE WINDSTOPPER material offers additional protection for areas vulnerable to the cold, and the fleece lining offers some additional warmth for cooler weather activities. These pants are also water resistant, a helpful feature for snow sports, yet they are still very breathable. The silver reflective material on the front and back of the pant and the pink color block are great for visibility while running. This pant also has a relatively large zipper pocket on the back perfect for storing keys or a phone, and there is an additional sleeve on the left thigh that would also fit a phone. Zippers at the bottom of the pant are ideal for fitting over a hiking or ski boot or for breathability.

These pants are slim fit and are true-to-size with a size chart based on pant size. At 5’4” and 120lbs I am often a size small, but since I am a 4 pant size I went with the medium which was perfect for me. The elastic material and built-in tie waistband make these pants quite adjustable which is nice for layering.

Although these tights are high in price at $140, they are worth the investment as they are versatile for use in many seasons and their high quality means they will not stretch out and will last a long time. There are also frequent deals on the GORE website to make these tights more affordable. I have often purchased cheap leggings and replaced them year after year as they stretch and get holes, but it is much more sustainable to purchase quality clothing items from name brands like GORE. I would highly recommend this item for any female athlete!
