Welcome!

A photo of me, Ethan Rambacher, camera in hand, on Noon Mountain at sunset.
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. My name is Ethan Rambacher, and I'm a landscape photographer and outdoor enthusiast. Let me tell you a little bit about me and what my website is all about.

I started in landscape photography when I was a freshman in college, in 2015. My mom gave me her old DSLR (a Canon 20D that was already 11 years old), and I started taking photos of flowers, waterfalls, trees, and anything else I could nearby campus.  Most of those photos were...not great...but I really loved taking them and I did a lot of photography whenever I could.

In my junior year, the spring and summer of 2018, I took a study abroad semester in Zürich, Switzerland. I absolutely loved it - and as you can imagine, I did a LOT of photography there! Between my still photos and timelapses, I took well over 30,000 photos over my seven months living there. Unfortunately, not all of them were keepers - but many of my favorite photographs and memories are from those trips, and many of the photos on my website are from Switzerland.

For several years I've maintained a photography website to display my photography portfolio, but recently I wanted to do a bit more to showcase my photos and start selling more prints of my work. So I totally redid my website from the ground up. I added three galleries with a number of never-before-published photos, including a number of new panorama photographs. And I am beginning a blog as well.

A few years ago, I started writing outdoor-related content for a media website - mostly gear reviews and trail descriptions. It was so much fun I've decided to start doing a similar thing here! Two gear reviews are posted already and I'll keep posting them as fast as I can write them. I also plan to post lots of content about photography, keep you up-to-date on my latest trips, and write about anything else I can think of! I hope you'll enjoy reading it.

That's all for now, but stay tuned for more posts coming soon. I hope you enjoy the galleries, and don't forget to check out my other blog content before you go.
